DAVID JOHNSON - PRESIDENT/INSTRUCTOR
In 1965, David Johnson began driving trucks for a road contractor during the summer's of his college years. Following college, and as a full-time teacher, David drove trucks for Ryder Truck Rental nights and weekends.
In 1971, David began work with the U.S. Government and retired in 1999. His duties included truck driving and continuous contact with the trucking industry.
David earned a Masters Degree of Adult Education from the University of Memphis.
Since 1999, David has worked as a truck driver, transportation industry consultant, and as a part-time instructor at the America's Driving Academy located in Theodore, Alabama.
In March 2005, David and his wife Theresa, purchased the former America's Driving Academy property in Theodore and incorporated the Premier Driving Academy Inc.
THERESA JOHNSON - VICE PRESIDENT / HEALTH & LIFESTYLE INSTRUCTOR
Mrs. Johnson comes to Premier Driving Academy as Vice President of the company as well as the Health and Lifestyle Instructor.
Mrs. Johnson has a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from the University of Mobile, a Bachelor of Arts degree in family life consumer science, and a Masters degree in Education. Mrs. Johnson has 16 years experience in health, nutrition, wellness and family life living skills education.
SANDRA TOMPLAIT - OFFICE MANAGER / PLACEMENT DIRECTOR
Sandra comes to the Premier Driving Academy with an eighteen year career in office management as well as trucking industry experience. Sandra manages office operations and coordinates placement services between students and trucking companies.
JESSE JORDAN - SCHOOL DIRECTOR / CLASS, ROAD & RANGE INSTRUCTOR
Jesse comes to Premier Driving Academy with a seventeen year career in the trucking industry, and has been an instructor for the industry since 1995.
Mr. Jordan has received numerous safety awards as well as being named driver of the year in 2002 for Trailways.
Mr. Jordan is a retired instructor from the United States Army where he served for twenty-years before retiring.
BUSTER STREETMAN - SKILLS RANGE AND ROAD INSTRUCTOR
Buster comes to Premier Driving Academy with a fifty-one year career in the trucking industry, including ten years as an instructor.
Mr. Streetman has received numerous safety awards during his time over the road, including a million mile safe driving award and Driver of the year for Dolphin Lines.
